News:

  • At our Chapter Meeting in February, we planned what topics to bring up at the April General Faculty Meeting, as well as questions to ask at our ongoing meetings with the Provost. Faculty were concerned about how the federal funding freeze and restrictions on DEI-related words that can be no longer be used in federal grants will affect tenure and promotion requirements as well as research and teaching more broadly; there were also concerns raised about ICE interacting with students, faculty, or staff on campus, and student and work visas.
  • MU is party to a lawsuit through the APLU challenging the 15% cap on indirect costs on NIH grants.
