After MU faculty voted to approve two resolutions put forward by the Faculty Council (results below), President-Chancellor Mun Choi sent the following response to Faculty Council chair, Kathleen Trauth:
Dear Professor Trauth,
Thank you for providing me with the results of the poll. I have reviewed the results. I will continue to seek constructive input and work constructively with the constituents at the University of Missouri to achieve excellence.
With regards to resolution #2, I will not be making changes to the executive order. Individuals who work for the university, whether faculty or staff, must fulfill important responsibilities that contribute to the mission of the university.
In closing, I appreciate the dedication of the vast majority of our faculty and staff who contribute to our teaching, research and engagement mission.
