Meeting Highlights
- Dec. 7, 2020: Why & how of restarting the MU AAUP Chapter. Faculty forum on concerns and priorities that the chapter should address.
- Feb. 4, 2021. Passed new bylaws, elected a non-voting representative to Faculty Council (Chuck Munter) and heard a report on Chapter recruitment (Srirupa Prasad).
- April 21, 2021. Emergency meeting on sudden restructuring of MU’s Social Justice Centers, with comments from students.
- May 11, 2021. Reviewed accomplishments of Chapter thus far. Discussed pressing concerns (changes in CRRs plus use of Academic Analytics, staff and students affected by Social Justice Center restructuring and disciplinary procedures pursued after protests). Set up task forces to begin work over the summer: 1) Coalition Building; 2) Promotion & Tenure Processes; 3) Communications, Publicity & Social Media; 4) Outreach & Recruitment; and 5) Chapter Programming.
